Homemade Lemonade Recipe

Nothing says summer like a glass of crisp, refreshing lemonade! Made from freshly squeezed lemons and lightly sweetened, this drink is perfect for hot days, family gatherings, or simply to enjoy a cool moment of refreshment.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups 1.4 L water, divided
  • 1 cup 200 g granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups 295 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 8 medium lemons)
  • Ice as needed
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water and sugar. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.
    Add the Sugar and boil
  • Squeeze lemons to make fresh juice, removing seeds but keeping some pulp if you like.
    Add the lemon Juice
  • In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice and the cooled sugar syrup.
  • Add the remaining 5 cups water and stir well. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices.
