Easy Homemade Focaccia Bread Recipe

This homemade focaccia bread is soft on the inside, crispy on the edges, and full of olive oil flavor. It’s an easy Italian bread made with simple ingredients and very little effort. You can make it the same day or let the dough rest overnight for even better texture. Perfect for sandwiches, dipping, or serving with meals.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1¾ cups warm water not hot
- 6 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil divided
- Flaky sea salt for topping
- Fresh rosemary optional
In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt.
Add warm water and mix until a sticky dough forms.
Drizzle a little olive oil on top, cover, and let rise until doubled.
Transfer dough to an oiled baking pan and gently stretch it out.
Let it rise again until puffy.
Dimple the dough with your fingers, drizzle olive oil, and add salt.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) until golden and crisp.
